With travel budgets plummeting, many associations are expanding their range of online education offerings or are considering implementing e-learning for the first time. But what sorts of challenges are organizations facing as they try to start or grow e-learning initiatives? Where are they finding success? And what trends are likely to impact them in the coming year? At the end of 2008, e-learning veteran Jeff Cobb set out to answer these and other questions by conducting an extensive survey of association e-learning practices. Drawing on data collected from nearly 500 organizations as well as interviews with a range of associations and e-learning vendors, Cobb will soon publish a comprehensive report on e-learning in the sector. In this session, he will address your questions and concerns about e-learning, hone in on the three keys to successful e-learning initiatives, and provide insight into how you can best plan for the coming months and years. In addition to access to the session itself, participants will receive: * An Executive Summary from Cobb's survey of the sector (upon registration) * A copy of Cobb's comprehensive report: Association E-learning 2009: State of the Sector (upon publication in March) - a $145 value Note: These materials are different from what has already been provided to survey participants. Join us to find out how you can make the most of your e-learning initiatives in 2009 and beyond.

    Summary

The 2010 ASAE Technology Conference, also known as Tech10, was originally scheduled for February 11-12 in Washington, DC.  What wasn't scheduled, was the blizzard that hit the city.  With canceled flights, missing presenters, record snowfall and additional inclement weather on the Capital city's heels, the annual conference was canceled.

The story could have ended there if it weren't for a group of people were already settled in for the conference. Six organizations rallied together to create UnTech10.

Within 42 hours, this 'Un-conference' came to fruition.  We were able to secure a room at the Renaissance Hotel for the full day of Thursday 2/11.  Fully loaded with a projector, screen, and equipment for live streaming, this 'Un-conference' catered to those who were on location but made the event virtually available as well.

If you weren't able to join us in person or online for this exciting 'Un-conference,' you're in the right place.  Everything you missed from UnTech10 is available now to view at your convenience.
